Leadership Hall of Fame
It is the desire of the Morgan County Schools Foundation to promote a culture of leadership and character building within the community and schools by providing students and residents of Morgan County the opportunity to see those who have set examples of leadership for us to follow. This idea was born out of the Foundation’s desire to promote leadership in a way that our entire community can see people being celebrated who have made a difference,” said Kerrick Whisenant, Hall of Fame chair. “We hope our students would aspire to follow these leaders and be leaders themselves.”
Hall of Fame candidates are nominated by the community and voted on by the Foundation Board. The event held in March is a celebration of those who have shaped and influenced the community.

Mr. Taylor, his wife, and their three children were at their home in Guatemala when three armed men approached and demanded money. His wife went inside with the children, while Mr. Taylor confronted the would-be thieves. The men fled the scene, but not before shooting Mr. Taylor once in the stomach.
