Empowering Students, Celebrating Success

Our vision is to create a thriving educational community where every student is empowered to reach their full potential, every teacher is supported and valued, and every member of the community is engaged and cared for. We strive to foster an environment of innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that all students have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed and contribute positively to society. Through our commitment to education, we envision a future where our collective efforts build a stronger, more vibrant community for all.

Empowering Students

  • For the 2024-2025 school year, MCSF has invested in adding the We Build It Better curriculum and supporting tools to two middle schools in the district. This program is an all-inclusive 18-week, industry-designed educator-developed, curricular experience that engages middle school students in a work-like STEAM environment.

  • The Morgan County Schools Foundation created the Steps to Success program for High School students. The program is an eight-week program designed to prepare students by partnering with community stakeholders regarding banking, tax concepts, insurance, investments, the local economy, job market, and interview readiness ultimately setting a foundation for a more prosperous and independent future.

  • Each school year the Morgan County Schools Foundation is pleased to provide scholarships to seniors graduating from high school in the Morgan County Schools System. These scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, with strong consideration based on the students' essays, counselor/ principal recommendations, and overall performance.

  • The Schools Foundation provides funding for field trips to the Hudson Alpha's Campus to Attend the APPLE (Advanced Placement Program for Learning Enhancement) program that provides a hands-on comprehensive STEM experience.

Supporting Teachers

  • The Morgan County Schools Foundation is pleased to be partnered with Senator Arthur Orr in providing grants to teachers and faculty in the Morgan County Schools System.

  • Morgan County School System hosts annual training for staff that is interested in future administration roles. The focus of the program is understanding the principles Dr. Mark Wilso explores around innovative strategies to foster growth and excellence. The Foundation proudly supports their celebration event for those that graduated from the class.

  • We are dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the extraordinary contributions of educators and support staff within our schools. MCSF partners with MCS to provide a celebration of the teachers, support staff that constantly impact the students within our schools.

  • 7% of the students in Morgan County speak English as a second language. MCSF supports the Conversational English Program that teaches teachers the Spanish language. This creates an atmosphere where we can meet students where they are in their educational journey.

Caring for our Community

  • The Foundation supports the at-risk children of our school system through our social services fund. Gift cards are allocated to the school system in the event children and families find themselves in an at-risk situation to ensure the most basic needs are met.

  • Event designed to help students navigate the process of finding, applying for, and securing scholarships for college.

  • Unfortunately, the reality is many families cannot afford basic schools supplies. Each year, MCSF and Dollar General partner to implement a supplies fundraiser each year prior to school starting to aid in helping those in need.

  • MCSF supports ESL (English as a Second Language) Programs that are designed to help students whose primary language is not English to develop proficiency in the English Language.
